The Woman King grossed an estimated $960k on Monday (from 3,765 locations), which was a 33% decrease from the previous Monday. Estimated total domestic gross stands at $37.12m.

Try to find out how much studios make on a single film by licensing to streamers. It's insanely variable and complicated. Sony is under contract with Netflix that they get theatrical releases, but that's a lump sum for a large array of titles including No Way Home. It's possible that Woman King makes some money for them, but not really possible to attribute it to that film in particular unless you're an accountant for Netflix. And apparently streamers won't even tell producers how their content performs, it's that tight lipped.

At a 50 million budget Woman King would need to match Ad Adstra on the dot just to break even. Breaking even is not success. Slight profits are not a success. Studios live off smash hits, that's why you see them putting so much money into large tentpoles that have the ability to make billions, and rarely in original IP with a smaller budget.
