Neither of the series really make sense for anything other than a reboot, less so Nightmare. But both series were so oversaturated with shitty movies and plots to where I just think the interest isn’t really there since both movies would probably be stale plots to just squeeze money from a recognizable name.

Exhibit A: Halloween. How are you going to take one of the most liked and recognized horror franchises, axe almost the entire canon, just to reboot the series with such a lame ass premise as Lauri becoming some absolute badass? Is it an action movie or a horror movie? Almost every scary movie nowadays is sell out bs.

Scream is probably my favorite franchise and I still like the movies but the casting feels like they just let MTV do it. None of the characters are likable and the plot is more shallow meta nonsense
