Dude sorry to break this to you but you’re actually just objectively wrong. Top Gun was the first major motion picture release ever fully funded by the US Military, it was conceived and created solely to glamorize service because enlistment was incredibly low in the early 80s. It’s also widely known to be incredibly inaccurate and not at all indicative what you’d expect in flight school. I’m not contriving any of this or inserting politics where they don’t belong, Top Gun is, openly propaganda for the US military

And if you want to make some argument that “fascist” was an inaccurate word choice then we simply don’t operate at the same level of morality.
