Similarly, on-screen representation for people of color has barely shifted. Of the 100 top movies in 2022, 29% featured actors of color as leads or co-leads. It's always weird to see this framing when the entire story is about a gaping hole where hispanic movie stars/actors should be. "all underrepresented minorities" just doesn't tell the organic data story

e.g. we know there were 12 African-American actors in a leading role. We know Woman King is coded as having 2 black female leads (Davis and Mbedu) and Nope obviously has 2 black leads (Palmer and Kaluuya) which means 10 films in the top 100 had African-American leading roles.
