Would you stop playing if they removed 3rd person entirely?

That depends on what you define as difficult. The fact that you die easier in 1pp because of your limited perspective? Because it's arguable that it's not as easy to die in 3pp because of your expanded view at the trade-off of having to square off with someone where you can still die. So sure, you have a fighting chance, but then some people might argue that because of that fighting chance, it's more skill/tactic oriented (I wouldn't, but some might). And where you can easily see things your character normally wouldnt is arguable too. 1pp doesn't let me see things my character normally would see, where as with 3rd person i can just pretend to be using a mirror over a rooftep edge or knife blade around a corner or something.

Considering that BI wasnt the original developer of DayZ and that they only hired the team, I'd say it's the dev team's decision to include 3pp as an option, which would mean that part of their vision is to include 3pp as an option for players.

You're arguing semantics at this point. What I said was still within the confines of the original intention of DayZ, which is survival, not something so obscure and low populated as scenario'd DayZ on CoD (which wasn't within the intention of the game design, which is what makes the two games different, also that very clearly has nothing to do with 1pp and 3pp). I'm still out there surviving, even if i'm mostly just killing other people. Just like someone that's playing a hermit in the woods is still within Dean's vision. You wouldn't like it if everyone played as hermits in the woods and it was once in a blue moon that people found each other, but I see no complaints about that. All i see is bitching about your mode not being as popular as the casual mode. Which yes, 3pp I would consider the casual mode because it's true, it's a lot easier to die in 1pp, but that just means you have to fight in 3pp. Sorry not sorry for choosing the game mode that suits my desires of wanting to see my character and just so happens to be a little bit (yes, little bit because I have no trouble surviving in either. if 3pp is so much easier for you, you lack awareness in 1pp) easier. And considering that majority of the well known youtubers for dayz play 3pp, and majority of friendly interactions take place on 3pp (both because statistically more people play it and because having that camera advantage more often leads to friendlier interaction due to control of the situation via that camera whereas 1pp it's complete trust that's often rewarded with some lead), I'd say that 3pp does a better job of "make your own story."

MOBA's are MOBA's because they were intended to be played online. Do the developers of MOBA's want for all of their playerbase to only play LAN and never use the developer's servers to play online? No, just like DayZ dev's intend for players to have the choice of what perspective they wish to use, not to force everyone into one choice and just like FPS dev's don't intend for someone to run around in circles and make use of almost none of the features they worked hard to implement.

Oh really? That's why it bothers you? Did you not play the mod? Did you see the overabundance of mods on it? And just how split up was the community then? Not as much as you're making it out to be. Overpoch, Epoch, Breaking Point, Vanilla, etc etc all the main mods had thousands of people playing on it, for both 1pp and 3pp, and with private hives included. You very clearly just have an elitist grudge on 3pp to be so set on coining it "DayZ Lite" just because it's easier to you and you're so worried about the community division when modding is released even though this isn't the dev team's first rodeo and the community division isn't even a problem even with the SA, versions of DayZ on Arma 3 (to included the modded versions), Rust, Zomboid, Formerly WarZ, DayZ Mod, and different versions of the Dayz Mod, and there's still plenty of players on each of those. If anything, I'd say the only problem the community division has is so many of you 1pp players having such laughable problems with a camera you aren't even forced to use.
