Omar to Democrats: 'Let's Give Working Folks a Reason to Turn Out to Vote for Us'

We’re fully aware on the ground how the message / seriousness of this race wasn’t treated appropriately. And folk working here are treating that appropriately & moving forward from that.

Who is the “we” here?

And what do you mean that the race wasn’t taken seriously? You say things like “apathy” and “seriousness of the race wasn’t treated appropriately” to dismiss legitimate opposition. You’re jumping through mental hoops to paint anyone who voted against your candidate as being anything except for informed individuals making rational decisions based on what they believe.

Ironically the exact out-of-touch framing that has plagued your candidate for the duration of her political career. It’s as if anyone who disagrees with her style of messaging is either stupid, corrupt, or otherwise not worthy of credibility. Until you realize that the candidate that’s the problem — not those that vote against the candidate — you will continue to struggle to win anything resembling a mandate.
