I guess we'll see in November if the "take your guns" strat works out. I hope I'm wrong. From my perspective its like if a Canadian politician ran on banning hockey. Its a part of the culture and I feel like the only votes it will get are people who were already going to vote against trump no matter what anyway. By dropping it you might get those precious swing states. I normally would never vote for an anti gun politician but trump attacks other liberties so I'm caught between a rock and a hard place. I'm tempted to just not vote but fortunately for the dems I hate trump and his cult enough to vote for Biden in spite of his shifty take on guns.
