First off, I have incredibly vivid dreams, and this one is kind of long.

I dreamed I was watching two older men walking late at night. They were bundled in furs and I assume it was way north because you could see the northern lights. They were alone and were discussing the future, walking along a snowy path they stopped at several large wooden statues. These statues were made of wood. They seemed like totems At the base of these totems were weapons. The two men discussed who these weapons would best be suited for (without removing them) and then moved on.

My dream shifted and again I was watching them walk in this same direction except this time they had more people with them, a very elderly man was with them. They passed all the totems and came to the end where it ended in a rocky cliff. One of the men I first observed exclaimed, "Look at the bridge of light!" and everyone (minus a few) were very confused because there was no bridge. The man and the elderly one were adamant that there was a bridge and they walked OFF THE EDGE OF THE CLIFF.

There was nothing but silence and at this point I am the first man I saw in my dream ( as opposed to seeing it from a 3rd person view) and I am looking over in the direction of the cliff and then there is a burst of light, but its not a bright light but it is a muted brown and there are feathers. From this light two giant owls emerge(I'd say over half the size of the men). One owl is a light brown which swiftly flies away the other is solid black with dark yellow eyes. This owl, I know was my companion that I traveled with earlier. The owl comes to me/the man and embraces it's large wings around me as if it were giving me a hug and I whisper to it "when the time comes, bring me" and that's when I woke up.

I couldn't see the bridge that led these two men to their deaths, only they saw it.
