Yellow's Late Game Suite

Have you ever try to play as a Control Mage and try to deal with powerful mid range cards such as Pit Lion, Golden Saint, Soulrest Marshal, Cliff Racer for example? To be honest, unless Mage hits the turn 6 godly Ice Storm clear, the game should have been over when playing against powerful midrange deck, such as Archer at turn 8. If you say, turn 8 Dawn's Wrath allows the Mage to survive up to turn 10, then you basically not pressure them enough, or not playing around it correctly.

Assuming you are the Control Mage, what can you actually do to deal with turn 6 Golden Saint with Divine Fervor up? Red attribute alone is the bane of all Control Mage already, due to how spell proof it is and Golden Saint + Divine Fervor is hell for Control Mage. Jarl makes all control decks look stupid, as the onslaught keep coming. You may argue that Mage can try to keep their HP high enough, but how do you even do it as the control mage in the first place?

The only problematic card imho is Mantikora, and it is only problematic due to the Guard Keyword. The Guard Keyword forces creatures to trade into it, which effectively net a 3 for 1 while being able to defense your life total. Miraak value is indeed really high, but it is only a single target card. In the case of Nahkriin, you need another high cost card in hand for it to shines, not like he can swing game by himself, and Ohdaviing come way to late in the game. Cheating Ohdaviing out with Priest is always a game breaking play but you need two specific cards of a 50 cards deck and 10 magicka, its not like it is easy to pull off. If you have multiple medium size creatures that reasonably spread between both lane, you will win versus Control Mage most of the time though.
