Racism and hate towards any person or group is terrible. However I disagree with the criticism towards the Chinese government. Apart from doing a good job of dealing with Corvid-19 within its borders, they actually do a good job of running the country. It is a secure and safe place to live. Generally the roads and public transport are excellent and the country is rapidly transforming for the better. Illegal factories get demolished and where they stood the earth gets landscaped and hundreds of trees are planted. The majority of people, living everyday lives in China do not feel that their liberties are being encroached upon. How much freedom does a person need? The masses are not missing much by not having access to the Western media are they? Anything that goes viral in the West will quickly appear on domestic social media anyway. Most people are more interested in their jobs, money and what they can buy with it. Unfortunately, people everywhere will always remember that this coronavirus originated in China, whatever name it is given. It has ruined many people's lives and ruined the world. It is common to see in parts of developing countries examples of poor hygiene in markets and restaurants, and there are aspects of the Chinese culture that are truly repulsive such as the many people who constantly spit phlegm as they walk around in public, and the general griminess and lack of personal hygiene of much of the population. But it is a developing country that appears to be run by reasonable people following a system that has been in place for a long time. Things are improving and people's lives in China are improving in many ways. It is a pity that the virus originated in China though. Own goal.
