Young black guy 23yo looking for advice

Do you guys think it’s to late for me ?

You're 23...it's absolutely not too late. Young is when you need to take your shot...take some risk. Your best place to start is a larger community college in your area that has a decent reputation. Ask around and Google. The benefit of a Community College is that if you don't like the more academic pursuits, they almost always have education for the trades (Carpentry, construction, machine shop, welding). Welding can be a really decent career choice. They'll also have classes for emergency medical technicians and, possibly, firefighters. Firefighting is a really great career path with excellent pay, benefits, and job security. Because most fire departments are run by governments, they're usually under diversity hiring mandates and there is a serious lack of qualified minority candidates for fire and EMS positions, so being black in these career fields is definitely helpful when it comes to competing for jobs. There are lots of jobs in hospitals that pay really well but that only require an associate's degree or technical training and certification. Radiology techs are an example and they make pretty good money.

Whatever you do...DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT go to a for-profit college or university...they are specifically designed to prey upon people like you.
