Why do young girl post half naked pictures of themselves on social media? Why do they feel the need to show off their bodies? Doesn’t that just add the the idea that women are just objects to be looked at?

Can someone PLEASE tell me why girls feel the need to show off their bodies??? I’m not judging but I just simply want to know why. I know so many girls as young as 15 to as old as 25 that constantly post nudes on their Instagram. I don’t mind but I just want to ask why? I’m 19 and I think I have a pretty great body, but I don’t feel the need to show it off like that and post provocative pictures online for ALL my followers to see. I think it’s ridiculous how I don’t even need to know a girls name but I can pretty much know what she looks like completely naked. Girls post so many booty pics, under boob pics, and just very revealing photos of themselves and I just don’t get it. The reason I don’t do it is bc I don’t want just anybody to see my body, my body is meant for those who are special to me, aka boyfriends, girlfriends, and potential hookups. I feel like doing this just adds to the idea that women are just objects to be looked at.
