I'm really not trying to change your mind, you have the freedom to act, believe, and raise children however you like. We just have a fundamental difference on child development and when it's appropriate to teach children about their bodies and sex. At that age I find it perfectly natural to teach them about their body, sex, sperm, egg, babies, ect. I guess by using the term "taboo" threw me off as yes, I do see it to be taboo to teach someone of that age about the more advanced aspects of sexuality. I see no reason to overwhelm them. Trying to process between sex for procreation, pleasure, multiple partners, or pleasuring yourself with inanimate objects I find a little bit more advanced than birds and bees. I guess the "shaming" part was how everything was thrown under the umbrella of "omg sex shouldn't be TABOO" where in this case, I absolutely do believe it should be taboo to teach a 4 year old mind about self pleasure with a toy, and it really came off as gross. Masturbation, self exploration for pleasure, or using various aids to achieve pleasure I feel belongs in a more mature mindset.

We just see it differently is all and that is fine.
