It's Your Fun & Fancy Free Discussion! (October 25, 2016)

I come up with a lot of random topics and titltes for essays. Topics because I want to write about it and titles because that's the most fun thing about essays. Sadly I am not good at writing essays because of my lack of English skills... and my inexperience with writing essays but that would work out after some time. I came to the conclusion that I should just start working on something. Better start and fail than never start at all, right? Which one of these do you guys think is the easiest to do and which would generate the best discussion on this sub:

  • Eternal Darkness of the Pretentious Mind: On the Incapability of Charlie Kaufman This sounds more provoking than my thoughts on him actually are. It would be on why his movies don't work for me. My opinion is not as negative as the title suggests.
  • About Spiders, Drugs and Aliens Take a guess what filmmaker this would be about!
  • The Hitchcocker's Guide Through Film History What is the stand of Hitchcocks movies in film history and why do they stand out compared to other movies from the same time? This would be more of a book project and way out of my capability. Just liked the title. Maybe a smaller version of this could be possible.
  • Something about how Tarantino uses violence for jokes in on scene and as a brutal filmmaking technique in the next (mainly in Django Unchained). Havn't found a fancy title yet.
  • "And Now I Know What I Am Doing" Comparing pre-Zodiac movies to his most of the 2010s. The title refers to a quote of his that is something like "Zodiac was the first movie where I actually knew what I was doing"

As you see this are not the best ideas but some could be pretty cool. Your thoughts?
