Your Journey, The Story.

Started with a Pentium 2 MMX and a Voodoo 2 (don't remember anything else spec wise, other than a shite 3D set-top box that didn't work half the time). That PC was built for us. The next one I built by myself in 2008. Core 3 Dua E8400, Gagabyte P35 mobo, 3GB DDR2, 160GB HDD, Radeon 4850. Slow upgrades over a few years until a friend donated his old Sabertooth X58 mobo to me. Then I found a core i7 920 on a local yard sale website. Also upgraded to a 560Ti but hated the temps. Upgraded to an aftermarket CPU cooler and some SSDs. Eventually saved and got a 770 and noticed the CPU was bottlenecking in the most recent titles. Now I'm sitting with an i5 4690K, a 960 FTW (looking to upgrade to either Pascal or Polaris), 4 SSD's (2 Samsung 840 Pros and 2 Crucial (M500?), RAM went up to 2400 MHz and monitor is now 144Hz.

I still have the i7 920 system that my GF uses with the 770. Might upgrade to Zen and hand down my 4690k system to her. I'm also very interested in doing a mini-ITX build next.
