You're tired and want to go to bed. You lie down and found out that _____?

That there is a bat in my room.
Had that happen this past summer. Laying down with all the lights off and I'm just starting to drift off when all of a sudden I hear this loud 'thunk!'.

Feeling groggy I get up and turn on the lights and see this black thing on my floor. Kind of wonder... huh? ..then WTF! The black thing starts flapping around my room and I'm just trying to not get hit in the face by it.
Step out of my room and close the door so I get a chance to wake up. At this point I am thinking I have a bird in my room. Open the door to see it flying around but without my glasses I couldn't really tell all that well. Close the door and go grab my spear. - Yes, I have a spear along with some other weapons scattered around my apartment (mainly knives and machetes). - So, again, I grab my spear to just use as something to help keep the flying black thing away from my face.
Eventually I get it out of my room and into another room but the little fucker climbs under the door which has less than an inch amount of space between the bottom of the door and the floor.
That's when I see it is a bat. My first reaction is .. Aww... you're kinda cute. My second reaction is another WTF!!!! as it flies at my head again. It flies around my apartment for a while and when I turn around to go to my room to grab something to get it out my front door it goes for my face and I try ducking and FACE SLAM INTO WALL. I put a dent in the wall. That was disorienting....

To shorten things up, I get to my room and call reinforcements (friend who is luckily up at 3 or 4am) to help get the bat out of my apartment as that thing was making a fool out of me. (Not cool to attack someone who is half-asleep.) By the time my friend gets to my apartment the bat had crawled under my front door on its own and eventually it got outside.

Sidenote: I never intended to hurt the thing for those who were probably thinking I was going to try and spear it or something. I also, know how killing bats in some states is considered illegal.
