You aren't talking about the protests in the U.S. are you? There's been nonstop violence from the "peaceful protestors". The most peaceful picture that CNN could find was fires blazing in the background, it looked like straight out of a doomsday movie. The protestors are committing assault, aggravated assault, arson, attempted murder, murder, theft, rioting, looting, etc... so I am very confused when you say "these protestors can't resort to violence" when that's all they've been doing for the past few months. Have you been to /r/ActualPublicFreakouts ? Have you not seen them throw bricks at the heads of police officers or burn down buildings? Did you not see looters attack a couple protecting their store? I can go forever, but I really hope you're just trolling and not that misinformed.
