I think you're referring to my comment? And yes, for me safety is the reason I won't bicycle here, I used to bike a lot before relocating. Which is why I commute on a motorcycle. Even on two wheels, I'm pretty safe as long as I'm visible and moving with traffic as a legal vehicle on the road.

There aren't really any mass produced "green" motorcycles though, or street legal electric scooters capable of highway speeds. There's no Tesla of the motorcycle/scooter world. There are a couple of companies trying to get off the ground with battery-powered bikes but they aren't there yet. Fortunately even with gasoline some small bikes get 100 mpg and even my bigger bike gives me 45 mpg on a stop & go commute and over 50 on my motocamping road trips.
