Refusing to speak a different language

Thank you for your reply. I do believe I went on a bit of a rant however my intention was to ask for help in how to go about handling the situation. I definitely do not feel comfortable translating a lot of clinical stuff and there's been times when coworkers have put me in a thought position, I want to help but at the same time I do not want to disservice the patient by misinterpreting important parts. There's been times when patients care has been delayed due to the fact that I was not able to get to them in a timely matter due to doing other assigned tasks while low priority patients are given priority due to the language. I will now let me coworkers know I do not feel comfortable interpreting and will remind them nicely to use the language line. I do not mind at all helping with basic stuff.
