18" Snow chains for the Model 3 are now also posted to the Tesla Store

Tire stores near me sell loads of chains that don't cost anywhere near this much. I admit they're cheaper quality

They're probably just as functional (unless they break) from a traction standpoint. The cheap 'chains' are usually steel cables, not actual chain links, and I'm sure a lively debate can be had comparing their effectiveness.

These chains are easier to put on than most. The latches are more likely to hold and easier to close with gloved hands.

Beyond the quality, it's ease of use for me. I've spent far too much time lying on my back in the snow with frozen hands trying my damnest to pull the chains tight enough to close the fastener.

Yes, this is what chain installers do.

I've also had cheap chains fly off. So, I don't buy the cheap ones any more.
