2016 Rio Olympics [Megathread]

The ire against the people are because of their actions during the games. Every time one of their countrymen is competeing, they relentlessly boo the competitor.

Ok, so we're being fans. Cool cool.

 >Even in games where silence is the norm. Like in gymnastics. Everytime an athlete that wasnt brazilian performed, they booed.

You didnt watch anything bruv. Stop pretendind that was the case. Get out of here with this bullshit.

And that is just one of many examples. The olympics are about the love of competition and the respect of the athletes. The brazilians have shown a complete lack of character in that regard.

NO WE HAVENT!!! That was one athlete who was being a complete arrogant dipshit.

As for the country, most fks go by what they read about in the news. The garbage and disease infested waters and beaches.

Did you see any couches floating around in the sea on kayak? Or did any marathoners get sick from swimming in the waters?

 >The green pool water.

It was harmless and it got fixed.

 >The robbing of tourists and athletes that leave the olympic village.

The whole thing with the swimmersis extremly shady and the police is still investigating. For the other cases, fair enough. We're sorry.

I just want people to stop being mindlessly xenophobic. Thats all. No hard feelings.
