55 years old-- trying to understand what I should with the money I have. Please help me-- I overwhelmed by the amount of information

If you haven't learned that life isn't fair yet, you should burn that money now.

Not yet. I'll be looking into irrevocable trusts and/or setting up a corporation. There will be some way to hide it. There always is a loop hole.

Your right live isn't fair. In this country though we didn't used to steal from the "haves" to pay for the have nots. I'm not the 1% who surely won't be affected because they have financial means to keep their wealth. I'm middle class who is likely to be screwed because I did the "right thing" and saved. Just like the AMT screws over people in high COL states.

I don't want to pay for people who made bad choices. I don't want to pay for people who had 10 kids. I don't want to pay because I was smart enough to plan. People on SS should live crappy lives. You should get a roof over your head and a thermostat that doesn't go over 60 degrees in the winter.

What we have is the government telling us we all need to save more for retirement. We have trillions in retirement accounts. And we have 40% of the usa with no savings. Then we got SS not being able to pay full benis starting up in about 20 years.

Now, we aren't going to put 40% of the people on the street come retirement.

So what do you think the most likely turn of events is going to be?

Like I said my only hope is if they take a stab at means based SS it will only happen one time. No one will EVER save for retirement again. I mean why would you?

Right now I live very thrifty. I don't have particularly nice stuff. I however an planning on having a nice retirement. It shouldn't be stolen from me to pay for the dumb asses who buy a new iphone every 6 months.
