7yo male - Been having knee pain for a year and a half behind my left knee, on the outside, where it feels like I have a small bone. The front part of the knee often hurts too, and I often have clicking sounds. Today I noticed this (picture in comments). Any advice?

Title is supposed to say 27yo male.

So I ran a marathon about a year and a half ago, and have had knee pain ever since then. Immediately after the marathon, I could barely walk, and I assumed that was simply really bad muscle soreness, as I've never ran that distance before.

After about a month, pain continued in my left knee and I went to see a doctor. He said everything was fine.

Since then, I have not done any strenuous exercise or even jogging, and my left knee continues to hurt, particularly behind the knee, on the outside, where it feels like I have a tiny bone. My knee often cracks and pops, and that tiny bone feels like it's out of place, or sometimes like it's breaking. I noticed this in the front of my knee, where it sometimes hurts as well. I put my finger on the little dent and it turns out that part of the clicking feeling/sound seems to be coming from there.

Does anyone have any help or any idea what this could be? Thank you guys.
