Not a 911 dispatcher, but a fedgov wildland fire dispatcher.
We had a fire that started about 3:00. County guys were enroute, so we sent an engine. They get on scene, lot bigger than we were lead to believe. Decent fire behavior, structures threatened, etc. Not too bad, but we weren't suppressing it with what we had there. End up ordering a pair of single engine air tankers (SEATs) and air attack.
Mr district LEO decides he wants to go down there. Don't know why, but he says he's enroute. About 15 min later scene in dispatch:
Dispatch, R81
R81, Dispatch, go ahead
We need more LEO here immediately, we have aircraft buzzing the fire. Notify the FAA as well.
R81, copy. For our information, are these aircraft cropdusters, painted red?
Affirm dispatch, red, single engine cropdusters
Copy, and are they dropping red liquid on the fire?
Affirm, dispatch.
...
...
Those would be our tankers, dropping retardant.
silence
Copy dispatch, R81 clear.
And we never heard from him again the whole summer.
