I absolutely love my job, taking care of all the plants is pretty rewarding.

Yes!! I can't even shop at big box companies for plants just knowing how poorly they are treated. A lady from this local hardware store that I frequent very often asked me why I never shop where I work for plants and I told her I prefer small businesses, family-owned, and local. In my experience, I've seen plants treated way better. I form an emotional connection with plants. I talk to them and they've brought me out of depressive moments. I have a vegetable garden in the backyard, houseplants in my room, and even landscaped my parents front yard. I took on this job as therapeutic just graduated from university (when no one else wanted to hire me) and in the beginning it was extremely meditative, but now it's just too stressful because it's like you can't do anything to save the plants when you aren't given the resources.
