Advice on quitting?

this will sound crazy but have you ever thought about joining a site like matchstat and “gambling” with virtual money instead, to distract you from using real money? maybe that will quench your thirst of the gambling process if thats what you’re addicted to. you’d think this would be a gateway to real betting but it can also work the other way. they have a leaderboard so you can compete with others so you can have that winning feeling without the added stress of losing money if you lose.

a lot of people don’t realize until after they quit that part of the addiction is the actual physical process of what you’re doing. for example, some cig smokers get addicted to the routine of putting a cig in their mouth and physically smoking, not just the nicotine. instead they now chew on toothpicks.

basically my point is go find a new hobby that will take up your free time and if picking winners in tennis is something you like to do, fantasy sports can help you.
