I was on the fence until I read that you are a middle school teacher, YTA. It could have easily been a student pulling a prank on you. I would like it noted that I am not admitting to anything, but there were 2 of my middle school teachers that lived in my neighborhood and both had this happen to them. While it could have easily been the toothbrushes, I have to wonder if any of your students know where you live. But you made an assumption and you know what they say about those… It also seems more likely that kids would do this to prank their teacher, than that kids remembered the one house that gave them toothbrushes, went back home or to the store and got a bunch of rolls of toilet paper and eggs and managed to remember your house in order to enact revenge over being given a free toothbrush. Even if it was the toothbrushes that caused these kids to do this, why blame your husband and not the little gremlins who did it?
