NAH. I don’t think what you’re doing is wrong, you’re prepared and you’re researched and you have experience. However, for the general public gifting animals is a really bad idea no matter the circumstance. Now with the breeder thing... it’s a complicated issue. I don’t feel like explaining all the gray area but I will say that it’s almost always better to look for a rescue first and that as a whole, even if there are good breeders, the dog breeding industry is not a humane one. At the end of the day it’s up to you and I’m not going to say you’re TA but I wouldn’t write off her comments as too “sensitive” as some people suggest as there are actual moral concerns to be aware of.
