All I can think of is the hospital asking you if you've recently traveled outside of the country and not letting you in anyway. So a wasted expensive vacation you planned before she got pregnant that you spent a lot of money on and she expects you to get expensive same day tickets and risk not being allowed in.

I know she's scared and wants her parents, but sometimes in life that isn't going to be able to happen.

My mom got a beautiful Christening gown on a visit to Mexico, so if you're Christian and do christenings, maybe look around at a market for a gift. Seven babies (hers, her sister's, and her best friend's kids) have worn it and have their name and the date embroidered on the inner lining sheath.
