The wedding is just the CEREMONY - the symbolic joining of two families and these young people starting their lives together - where they promise to love each other IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH. The idea that they wouldn’t celebrate that she survived, that she can walk, and that she still has all her brain function and want you to stand in her dress and take part in the festivities as the bride so the PHOTOS look good? “Oh, hey, sorry the one you picked got damaged but HERE IS A SUBSTITUTE that still looks nice”?

That is really really weird and inappropriate to suggest. What happens if she can’t have kids?
