Why would you be posting here if it hasn't affected your friendship? You said you have an addiction and were on the brink of death ( which sounds like losing, not that it matters to anyone but you).

I did double down on my opinion because I think it's right. I'm not obliged to lie to you to make you feel better about it. If you tell someone to fuck off and that the person they care about isn't interested in talking to them either then that isn't a very healthy dialogue.

It seems like you said what you did because you have issues with your gaming which are causing you to be rude/ verbally abusive to your friends.

It isn't an attack on your character, you've admitted you have a problem with gaming, maybe you should address that before it begins to affect friendships and relationships.
