Your living situation is very precarious, and it sounds like there's a clash in both of your personality types. If you really are looking for work as intently as you say, then really it's out of your hands. You're doing the best you can in this situation, but your dad needs to realize you're also an autonomous adult. I get his intention of wanting you to work/find employment while you study, but what he did was patronizing and went against your wishes. Try to find some third party/neutral ground to sit down with him and remind him of your situation, otherwise I'd be eyeing a job and means to live elsewhere for the 1-2 years you have if you can't bite the bullet.
