AITA for telling my students I was menstruating?

YTA. I mean, I don’t even know if AH is the right term. It was just unprofessional.

You’re an educator. Even if your students say rude or inappropriate things, your job is to rise above it. Some things are just unprofessional. Telling students you’re on your period is unprofessional. Periods are normal. So is peeing your pants a little when you sneeze after having a baby, having diarrhea if you’re sick, or getting a random erection.

None of those things are things to discuss professionally as an educator. Your boss and the mom made a huge deal out of it and periods are NOT disgusting and are indeed normal, but they are outside the realm of professional discussion.
