YTA clearly you have issues if you turned this into a relationship ending situation AND argued with her dad. You aren’t mature enough for a real relationship. Deal with your issues. In future, if someone you love and want to stay in your life is excited about something, don’t shit on them. If you don’t quite get it, ask some questions, nicely ie oh cool so what does it do, what do you want to cook with this one first etc would have helped you get involved and see the point.
