Alberta’s involuntary addictions treatment law violates Charter rights, expert says | Globalnews.ca

Yeah i think we're on the same page, just using different language and talking about related but different problems that compete for brain space and attention. The thing about "white" Is that there are cultures all over the world which denigrate those who aren't of pale skin: China, India, Japan, Europe & NA, South America, everywhere. The upper caste considers themselves more white than anybody else, no matter the location. Advertising around the world features lighter skinned people, no matter the country. Applying for a job in almost any country has the subconscious bias test of skin colour from the interviewer. The best paying jobs are gated even before the interview process, where you have to be part of the network or clique before you're even considered, and everyone in the golf club talking about board positions is pale skinned.

Caste systems exist and the lines are drawn for a multitude of reasons: skin colour, geo-political tensions, religion, oligarchy, etc. There are so many "fronts" to fight when it comes to equality of opportunity, making it hard to use just a single word to describe the bucket of injustices to be resolved.
