Jesus christ, you really think we have no other culture to protect? Listen to yourself! You're telling me I have no culture for not being Francophone! What an absolutely ridiculous take! I mean fuck, the folks in this thread would have you think that their treatment was the same as or even worse than Natives in Canada, black Africans or Indians in the Raj. In fact, it is so ridiculous that I almost think it is Anglophones doing a bad parody of Quebecois just to troll and rile up hate against French Canadiens.

I never claimed that Quebec and franco-Canadians never faced oppression in Canada, they did. Lots of it. At the hands of the English, but also at the hands of their own elite and own church which were used by the English to oppress but we can't forget that francophones put down other francophones for YEARS to the advantage of anglos.

What I am saying is that I think it is ridiculously stupid to think that American treatment would have been any better.
