Mexican workers accuse Canadian farmers of mistreatment

I don’t really understand what you’re hoping to accomplish here. I’m acknowledging there’s issues at play here, they’re just not what you’re trying to argue. The wages for them aren’t the issue, any more than minimum wage is an issue for all Canadians. The issue here, as per the article, is that when an employer who succeeds in getting a LMIA exemption to hire foreign workers says “and we have a place for you to live”, there’s a major discrepancy with what we’d call suitable living accommodations. A tent and a bucket isn’t the same as an apartment. I’m being dramatic of course, but I’m trying to articulate a point. You being upset they can’t afford education is the same unhappiness we should have about the lack of affordability of education to all Canadians period. This isn’t some issue that’s exclusive to foreign workers, they just get here and realize how brutal a lot of things like cost of education, living, health insurance, etc are. It’s the same things all Canadians complain about.
