Alexander Gustafsson vs. Glover Teixeira targeted for UFC’s return to Stockholm

The issue is you're completely ignoring styles making fights. And, while Glover is extremely one dimensional on the feet, he's superb at that one dimension. If Gusty lets Glover impose his will that way (like he let Daniel come in and uppercut him to next year), it ain't goin' overly well.

Looking at Jones, I don't really see Jones as a technique wizard. Jones has an absurd height and reach advantage, and his dominance comes from knowing how to use it rather than being a technique god. He knows how to hit you where you can't hit him, and he knows how to use his range. When Gusty fights him, that advantage his taken away. It was the first time Jon had to fight someone his own size. It was new ground for him, and he didn't have his advantage to fall on.

Cormier is arguably the second best LHW ever, but that's largely in part to his wrestling. Cormier isn't exactly a standup god. Gusty was just letting Cormier come in and nail him with uppercuts. That's not great for Gusty if he lets Glover come in and impose his will. If Gusty lets Cormier do that, it doesn't exactly tell me he won't fall for Glover's bread and butter combo. Cormier shouldn't have been able to nail him that much. If anything, this fight should be a sign of concern.
