Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez warns America is 'evolving into' fascism

Well, she's certainly right to ring the alarm bells loudly with this administration... that's for sure!

This is a major threat to what America stands for.

And it's exactly THANKS to politicians and brave-passionate activists like her, that America will survive this and live to fight another day, another century, and on and on, as the cycle goes.

ALSO, don't forget: America has had worse presidents in the past--far worse--as difficult as that is to believe--including even Presidents like Andrew Jackson who literally enjoyed killing aboriginal people with his bare hands before he became president...

And yet America survived, thrived, and persevered as a nation.

In addition:

You think current Congress/House is dysfunctional...

Well, in the years leading up to the civil war there were insane debates, over the issue of slavery, raging so intensely that Congressmen were literally attending congressional sessions heavily armed!

Like ya: if that's not a red flag Civil War is coming soon, I don't know what is!

PLUS...

Not to mention the Civil-Rights-Vietnam-War-Counter-Culture era of the last century... that saw strong democratic candidates being assassinated, and southern governors secretly authorizing execution of both black/white civil rights protestors in their state by the police...

Well... ok, I just mentioned it.

So yes... all in all, national unity and harmony is bad. Real bad.

But when you've got a President who from the moment he wakes up in the morning, until the moment he falls asleep at night, is hell-bent on spewing out: anger, hatred, insults, ridicule, disharmony--never a kind word for any other, other than himself mostly...

Then it's really going to take its toll on the nation that's for sure.

But it's only temporary.

So ya: it is currently bad. And it will eventually be really bad again... at some point later in this century...

But just as long as America is still willing to fight, and protest, and air their dirty laundry to the world... and let everyone see the intricacies and imperfections of the human system we call "Democracy"...

Then Democracy shall continue to triumph and survive.

This too shall pass.
