'All Americans should recoil from the president's praise for a violent assault': White House Correspondents' Association condemns Trump's praise of lawmaker who body-slammed journalist

1.You’re fine with adults physically assaulting other adults.

If its truly deserved, yes.

2.That’s an okay thing with you, and not only is it okay, but you think it’s wrong for the person who got assaulted to press charges.

Read #1, that doesnt mean I want to take away the right to press charges.

3.You think the person doing the assaulting has the right to decide if the person they are assaulting deserves a “reality check.” And the recipient of the beating should just shut up because it “builds character.”

Depends on the context. I didnt say how he should take, although I'd prefer he'd take it as a learning experience.

4.If a reporter gets beat up by a lawmaker because the lawmaker doesn’t like the reporter’s line of questioning, that seems just fine to you because reporters aren’t nice enough to conservative politicians.

This obviously bait. I'll still bite cause at this point I couldn't care less. He didn't even get "beat up" so stop trying dramatize the whole thing. He was body slammed, which in the end just means he was tackled to the ground. Why do you think they only released audio and no video? They wanted to play victim and blow it out of proportion. But I think if anyone's acting like an ass then if someone decides to retaliate, then sure, i have no problem with that.

5.Have I got this right?

You've got this right.
