This reminds me of I liked the interpretation that the Vile Eye over on YouTube had about why Anakin was the chosen one who'd bring balance to the force, in his video analyzing the character of Darth Vader.

In essence, the self-righteousness and elitist views propped up by the Jedi Order brought just as much imbalance to the Force as the visceral hatred and emotionality of the Sith did.

Anakin destroyed the Jedi, and Vader destroyed the Sith, together bringing both the Light and Dark sides to heel and bringing balance to the force.

Speaking as someone who's never been all that into Star Wars or Science Fiction in general, just had watched the movies again last weekend and its been on my mind, it's kind of a beautiful story.
