Is it always wrong to ask a girl out at the gym?

But men who are creeps and approach women at the gym should be treated as such. Until that stops happening so frequently (and probably really need a new generation of people who don’t experience harassment from men in general for it to be possible) it’s not going to happen.

Why don’t you focus on saying that men should not approach women expecting them to welcoming to comments on their body at the gym or ever, rather than “how come women react to this happening and treat me- a ‘good guy’ like I’m terrible :(“ because the reality is we can’t tell the difference between two different men approaching us, one is going to make uncomfortable comments and one isn’t. So you avoid the experience all together when it feels like chances are it’s going to be uncomfortable based on past experience.

Advocate for safe spaces for women and teach the men in your life to be better.
