Am I missing something? Non-Canadians are not allowed to purchase Canadian properties starting 2023. But the max penalty for offense is $10,000?

Are you an agoraphobe or something? Literally never stepped out of your house? It’s frustrating how naive you are. People risk more valuable licenses for much less every single day. Walk into any optical in Brampton that isn’t owned by a conglomerate, it’s one big fraud operation. From optometrist writing fake scripts to the optician pushing the fake insurance claim, they are risking their licenses 10-40 times a day and not even for a high premium. I’ve walked into Brampton furniture stores that are willing to run up as much of my insurance as possible and out the money towards a sofa or something. Yet you think it’s gonna stop lawyers? Please
