I am really tired of going nowhere

im probably missing the entire point of your post

but when i switched to comp sci, they charged me 8k in retroactive fees plus tuition for that year which equaled a whole lot of money i didn't have. OSAP didn't cover retroactive fees, they only gave me money for tuition . so i still didnt have 8k fees. I wrote alot of emails to higher up people at the university, like in the deans offce, Financial aid office at UofT, computer science department. nobody could help me. They all told me to take a load out.

I another email to Innis College, I told them how I needed 8k to pay fees and i was just a broke student. I told them how i couldn't go to my parents for the money because they don't have it either. I had a meeting with one of the counselors there where we discussed why i wanted to switch to computer science, what my other options were. In the end she told me to consider just doing a minor in computer science if you cant afford it.

I was annoyed that she told me that so i sent an email to the Vice Dean at Innis College and to my surprise he personally responded to it. He said there may be a way to help me out, we can help you write a letter/application to the board that gives out bursary's. The vice dean put me into contact with a different counselor at Innis who gave me tips on how to write the application.

A few days passed and i was ready to hand in the application so i went back to the same counselor to give it to him. He got it to the people that it was supposed to go to. I cant remember but i believe the vice dean followed up with that board regarding my application.

a few weeks passed and BAM i got an email from Innis saying i was granted a one time bursary of a little over $8000
