Am I in the wrong here? This in not a company I work for but one I used to work for which I help out from time to time on my days off.

Hey guys, thanks for your replies. Here’s some context.

I worked there for three years, small business, three of us running the company I was basically the manager, it was always out like a carrot in front of me but he never acted on it but let me do the work anyways while paying me less than average for a customer service position. Anyways, we made his company $1mil in sales in a year and we got a thank you in return a long with a $25 gift card to target and a couple scratch its.

The whole time I was asking for a proper raise and it was never given. I felt taken advantage of and the people who work there today are still taken advantage of and overworked and asked for more than they can provide while being payed less than they’re worth.

I realize I flip flopped on him but I’m still doing him a favor. I stand my ground on that.
