is this an example of a Ti-Si loop? can someone relate to this?

I can't tell you about loops, but I can tell you a bit about your IQ score.

Many things can influence someone's score in the test. A Belgian association that helps HP people (as in high potential) talks about a young man who was, according to their criteria, HP but who tanked his IQ test and got something like 110. This happened because of his mental condition (depression if I remember correctly).

The test I took was timed and divided in 4 categories. The IQ being the average of the 4 sub scores. My test turned out statistically invalid (it's not going to be used to be compared with others) because of a disparity too great between two sub scores (more than 30 points). The section I scored lowest in had to do with shapes. I remember a painful series of weird shapes that I was supposed to complete with the help of one among a choice of possibilities. And the reason I performed badly on that particular exercise is very silly: the shapes were colored in very bright colors. I couldn't focus my vision on them for very long without it getting blurry. I remember specifically just selectionning random options because I just couldn't look at the cards.

I also panicked during the mental arithmetic section.

The IQ test I passed was coupled with a few others. The others indicated a high level of anxiety for example, which also can influence performance negatively.

It's normal to try and understand your score. To understand it, you should perhaps think back on how you performed the test, the condition you were in when you performed it, etc.

Also, I understand the deception you felt. For many years I didn't get tested because I didn't want to feel that deception you're talking about.
In the end it didn't matter one way or the other. My (statistically invalid) IQ is higher than that of a significant portion of the population and still struggle with many things. So I was neither proud nor embarrassed, perhaps it's a good thing I waited so long to get tested.
