Anthony Martial back in France squad; no recall for Karim Benzema

Why doesn't Deschamps want to call Laporte?

It was more of a jab at Deschamps than a serious comment, I don't know if he really doesn't want to call him but it seems that Laporte is at least 6th in the pecking order (behind Varane, Umtiti, Koscielny, Kimpembe, Zouma & Rami), Deschamps never gave him a chance even when we had tons of injured CB.

And are you Frenchie happy with Didier as boss ?

Mixed feelings really, he did a good job at rebuilding the team, getting rid of older players & divas, bringing in new players and putting a definite end to the shitshow that it was circa 2010.
Plus he's had some good results.

Now on the other hand he's quite defensive-minded, isn't exactly a great tactician and sometimes seems to give some players far more chances than he does to others (Sissoko, Evra, Rami or even Giroud who's basically been unchallenged since Benzema was put aside despite not playing/scoring that much and the fact that other strikers were doing better in their respective clubs).

But most of that is down to personal preferences, the main problem with Deschamps is that he seems completely clueless about the way he wants the team to play so we rely way too much on individual prowesses unlike the Germans or the Spanish who seem to have a plan.
