Do any of you unapologetically like the work Christmas party?

A quick sampling that took all of 1 minute. So much grasping at straws, responding to things that were never said, just to paint the non-partier as an irredeemable curmudgeon. It's really quite funny to read.

It’s Reddit, you’re not allowed to be an extrovert

Uh huh. Nobody said anything about what you're allowed and not allowed to be

how much of a disfunctional troll do you have to be not to be able to emerge from your cave once a year

Not liking work Xmas parties automatically means you're a mentally ill hermit with no life?

This is Reddit, where a certain % of people would happily work remotely their entire life and only leave their house to get bread and milk. I do wonder how some people on this site manage to survive daily interaction with other people.

Same as above

You’re welcome to not like it and not attend but whinging about others enjoying it is just hypocritical.

What whining about others enjoying it? Was anyone offended and complaining about people liking parties? This is just made up out of thin air.

Some people are just miserable and don’t like to enjoy things

Or maybe they just don't like this one thing? Hmm? Maybe it's just an obligation too far during a hectic time of year?

I kinda feel like if you hate literally all your coworkers then it's you that's the problem.

This is in response to someone saying they LIKE all their co-workers - reaching deep into hypotheticals to make sweeping generalizations about...something no one actually said.

If you don't want to go to a party then don't go. However don't think you are special or original person just because of this.

Nobody said anything about special or original - this is pure projection. Same person:

It seems a lot of people on Reddit are still worried about what people think of them. I suspect this is because they are still 15.

¿Que? What the hell does this have to do with the price of tea in China? Complete non sequitur, just to be snide and superior.

Maybe I’m a loser because I don’t have a social event planned outside of work each day of the week

This was a sarcastic response to a simple statement that some people like to keep work and private life spirit. No implications about anyone else's social life, nothing about losers. Pure projection.
