I couldn’t agree with you more. Again, it’s a systemic issue. It’s also not just about cost but time. People have to hold down full time jobs so when would they find time to do this and take care of a family. Could it be done, yes, but it’s a stressor that exacerbates the initial problem.

Have humans been healing themselves over time? Sacrificing to a god or executing a witch for adultery/cheating is how they dealt with it depending on your location. I can’t speak to any culture that allowed sexual abuse of their own child without punishment. That is not to say there aren’t any, but I am just not aware of any. Murderers were dealt with...well, I think we all know how that went. So if that is healing and the suggestion is bring it back, I agree with the comment of on this thread of calling Better Help.
