Has anyone ordered consultations from modernalkame.com? (review request)

Hey there, I'm one of the founding team members of Modern AlkaMe. This is my personal reddit account, since we haven't formally launched yet. It’s great to see that we already have some discussions about us, we’ve been trying to keep under the radar for the past few months. So this is not our formal introduction at all. In regards to some of the topics addressed here, let me try and address a few of them. We have currently been in development for our web app and the website did not reflect the current state of the company. (Like I said, we weren't really expecting attention right now). Rest assured, we will be launching over the next few weeks.

Modern AlkaMe is a digital health company incubated out of the EvoNexus accelerator in Irvine, CA. Our actual focus is to find every way to quantify the effects that nootropics have on users in order to continually assess their validity and ultimately recommend the best nootropics for users to reach their desired cognitive goals. We are creating an application that will be able to comprehensively analyze our users brain health and performance while also being able to pull data from users existing wearable devices (Fitbit, Emotiv etc) and 3rd party lab-testing services such as 23&Me and Labrix.

While Gandalf calling the wizards might be a good analogy, I would liken our consultation more to Gandalf calling the fellowship. The reason we call our team members Alchemists is the same reason that thousands of agents that enhance cognition through different MOAs are labeled as nootropics... it simplifies the complexity. Currently, members of our team consist of MD’s, PhD’s and researchers from Duke, NIH and UCI with vastly differing backgrounds and expertise such as neurosurgeons, psychologists, pharmacologists and dietitians. Labeling them all as physicians would be misinformation on our part. Every team member on our consultation team actually plays a part in the consultation process however. Whenever a new user creates a profile for us and undergoes an assessment, the recommendation of nootropics has to be signed off by every team member before our users can receive access. The only team members who can make executive decisions that supersede group recommendations are our MD’s and pharmacologists in cases of contraindications, possible side-effects or any other clinically significant interactions.

In regards to the FDA, we are not here to treat or diagnose any conditions (another reason we don’t label ourselves as physicians, even though many of our team members actually are). We want users to make the most informed decisions possible about what they actually put into their body, and we do not recommend any products that we do not consider safe or efficacious. We are also fully aware of all the major players in the nootropic space. With team members having worked in the nootropic industry before, we have intimate knowledge behind every step of nootropic development starting with sourcing/synthesis, manufacturing, supplying and distribution. When we recommend various sets of nootropics to our users, those recommendations are coming from suppliers that we have vetted, and the recommendations are actually being made based on our user's specific profile.

As I stated we are a few weeks from launching our beta application, and you can sign up for updates at our website. Please note that when we are ready to launch, we will host an AMA on /r/nootropics about Modern AlkaMe and go over all the nuances involved in our application.
